The Production Coordinator is responsible for overseeing production of computer hardware, including desktops, servers, and peripherals. Production involves selection, refurbishment, testing, quality control, and final quality control of hardware. This position is also responsible for coordinating the adoption box program, which involves specification, production, and distribution of desktop computer systems to volunteers. Additionally, the Production Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating the Hardware Grants Program, which involves production and distribution of computer hardware to needy organizations. A daily responsibility of the Production Coordinator is to train volunteers to perform production-related activities (e.g., testing and building), to monitor their work, and be available for guidance. With the help of volunteers, the Production Coordinator is responsible for maintaining constant production of hardware that will keep the store sufficiently stocked. The Production Coordinator is also responsible, whenever possible, to troubleshoot and repair defective hardware eligible for exchange, credit, or warranty service..


  • Coordinate production of computer hardware including desktops, servers, peripherals

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of computer hardware, assembly, and repair
